Food Safety Certification
Our nut & popcorn snack food plant, located in Alsip, IL, passed its initial SQF (Safe Quality Food) third party audit in 2018. We are registered as meeting the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing, Edition 8. This certification is internationally recognized by retailers, foodservice providers and regulatory agencies that require HACCP safety and quality systems from their suppliers.
The Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, managed by the Safe Quality Food Institute is recognized by businesses in the food industry around the world as a rigorous, credible food safety and quality program. It is the only certification system recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) that offers certificates for primary production, food manufacturing, packaging, storage and distribution. This enables sites to assure their customers that food has been produced, processed, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards, at all levels of the supply chain.
Obtaining this third party certification serves as a guarantee to our customers that Argires Snacks products meet the highest food safety standards.
